Doctrinal Statements
He must hold firm to the trustworthy word as taught, so that he may be able to give instruction in sound doctrine and also to rebuke those who contradict it. - Titus 1:9 (ESV)
God
- We believe that there is one God eternally existent in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (I John 5:7)
The Bible
- We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the infallible, authoritative Word of God. (II Timothy 3:16,17)
Jesus
- We believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ; that He was born of a virgin, lived without sin, died on the cross as a perfect sacrifice for our sins, rose from the grave and is personally coming again for the church. (Philippians 2:5-8)
Salvation
- We believe that salvation is wholly of grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. (Ephesians 2:8,9)
- We believe in the power of Christ's shed blood to cleanse from sin all who come to Him. (Matthew 26:28, Romans 5:9, I John 1:7)
- We believe in the resurrection of the body, the eternal glorified state of the believer in heaven and the eternal punishment in hell of all who reject Christ. (John 5:21-29, Matthew 13:41,42,49,50)
Christian Responsibilty
- We believe in the need for daily growth in grace of the believer through Bible study, prayer, witnessing, and Christian fellowship. (II Peter 3:17,18, II Timothy 2:15, James 5:16, Proverbs 11:30, Hebrews 10:25)
- We believe in being obedient to the command of Christ to evangelize all nations and to teach believers to the truths of the Word of God. (Matthew 28:18-20)
The Church
- We believe in one true church, the body of Christ, consisting of all believers, regardless of color, race or standing. (I Corinthians 12:12,14)
- We believe the local church is to be self governed and administrated by the elected elders of the congregation. (Hebrews 13:17)
Ordinances
Baptism
- We believe in water baptism by immersion and that it is the first step of obedience after a person has believed on the Lord Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:19)
The Lord's Supper (Communion)
- We believe the Lord's Supper was instituted by the Lord Jesus Christ Himself on the night before His crucifixion; that it is open to all believers who are in the right relationship with God regardless of denomination. (Luke 22:19,20, I Corinthians 11:27-29)
